He satisfies the longing soul. And the hungry soul he fills with GOOD things. - Psalm 107:9
The Bible tells a story about God sending ravens to bring bread to Elijah. In this story, bread represents God’s love and care for Elijah. Did you know that, like Elijah, God loves you? Jesus said, “Man does not live on bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” If you’re unsure, stop now and ask God to show you that He is real. Try church. Church is a place to meet Christians and learn together. Then, read the Bible. My favorite verses are Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 51 & 103, John 3:16, 2 Cor 9:8, and 1 John 1:9. Remember, you were born for a reason. Thank you for letting us put our family’s bread on your table.
'Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.” So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. '
